The Brief
The director of Astute Financial had trusted us with designing her home. When the business moved to new premises in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast, we came and viewed the empty shell. Our brief was to create a floor plan that incorporated 1 open plan desk seating area, and 3 meetings. Once the floor plan had been locked in we selected all finishes including carpet, feature wall and paint colours. We then co-ordinated the procurement of all art and furniture. The vibe was coastal, funky and fun.
What we love
There’s so much to love about this space, but above all, we love that it’s genuinely enjoyed by the people who use it every day. Creating an environment where employees feel inspired, comfortable, and motivated to work is always the ultimate measure of success.
The entrance makes a striking first impression, with dramatic timber coved wall panelling paired against a deep, calming teal feature wall. This bold yet refined palette sets the tone for the entire project, with the teal carried through into the meeting rooms to create a sense of cohesion and balance.
The kitchen brings a playful contrast, quirky and full of personality with unique tiles and matching teal cabinetry. It’s a space that feels both functional and expressive, adding an unexpected layer of character to the overall design.
