HIA Award Winning Home Design

The Brief

This house won both best Kitchen and best Bathroom for the HIA Sunshine Coast Region. Based at Moffat Beach this family home required functionality and beauty wrapped up to a small space. We wanted to maintain excellent cross breeze airflow. Our solution was to create the ensuite as part of the Master Bedroom. The bath was concealed behind a half height wall with a window directly over. As you approach the bedroom the view to the garden is essentially all you see. To your left is the bed with French doors to a veranda. To your right a vanity and feature wall with a shower cleverly tucked in behind and wc adjacent with a closed door. This compact tropical beach house kitchen oozes functionality. Every square centimetre is considered to maximise efficiencies in flow and process. There are a plethora of finishes and details to intrigue the eye, which are orchestrated together beautifully. The result is a subtle, sublime and sophisticated award winning kitchen. The separation between inside and outside is merged seamlessly with the light airy décor complementing our Queensland lifestyle.
