Riva Body Corporate
The Brief
The Body Corporate of the Riva apartment complex in Maroochydore reached out to us to transform a tired, dated interior lobby into a refreshed, functional, and cohesive space for both residents and visitors on the Sunshine Coast. Working within an existing multi-residential framework, our brief was to reimagine key communal and private areas to improve durability, usability, and overall aesthetic appeal. The design needed to be practical for high-traffic use while still feeling considered, welcoming, and visually elevated. We introduced a refined material palette and improved spatial clarity through updated finishes, including wallpaper, joinery, and lighting solutions. The aim was to create a more cohesive internal environment that better reflects the coastal location while standing up to the demands of everyday use within a body corporate setting.
What we love
What we love most about this project is the transformation from a dated, disconnected interior into a space that feels fresh, functional, and quietly sophisticated. The updated palette brings a sense of calm cohesion throughout the building, softening the heavier existing elements and introducing a more contemporary coastal feel appropriate to its Maroochydore location.
We also love how thoughtful design interventions particularly in lighting, finishes, and circulation zones have elevated the everyday experience of the space without over-designing it. The result is a practical yet refined environment that enhances liveability for residents while improving the overall perception of the building. It’s a great example of how considered interior design can add lasting value in a body corporate context, balancing durability with a subtle layer of design sophistication.
